The BMen's Chili Cook-off was held Saturday, January 15, 2011 with 35 persons from five of our churches bringing 13 POTS OF CHILI. Winners were: Best Overall - Jack Donahue from Emmanuel with Texas Chili / Most Unique - Merle Kirkland from Emmanuel with Southwest Chili and Hot, Hot, Hottest - Rick Wolf from Silver Spring with HOT Chili. A spicy good time was had by all. One of our Pastors was so ministry minded that he brought a bottle of "Tums"to share. Gather your recipes in 2011 for the 2nd Chili Cook-off in January 2012.
The SCBA BMen (Baptist Men) Event was held Saturday, May 14 at the Etown Building: The BMen Breakfast and Mission Project began with a Free Breakfast 8:00-9:00am followed with "hands on" Mission Projects 9:00am until 11:59am on the Association Office Building.
Work projects include the following:
- Painting
- Repair of ceiling lights
- Cleaning ceiling lights
- Repair rear entry door
- Outside work - pwer washing ramp in preparation for paint
- and More
